But who are we to say?
Listen for yourself!
Just kidding. No one has ever asked us anything, let alone frequently.

Big Cat Season is a synthpop/dreampop indie duo out of the Boston suburbs. After growing up in the same town, Tom Durkin and Melissa Dudek lost touch for 17 years before discovering that the thriving high school music scene was still alive and well in the hearts of some old friends.
The music is a Myst-like adventure through debilitating '90s nostalgia. Our own tiny epic dystopian fiction novel both influences and is influenced by the music.
"The rabbit hole I’ve gone down after listening to ‘I’m in the Wrong’ is one I can’t see myself emerging from anytime soon, and I can’t wait to see what Big Cat Season has coming next."
"They don’t replicate the 90s; they filter them through the prism of those who lived it firsthand, grew up with grunge and the indie explosion, and now process these memories with the electronic tools and adult melancholy of contemporary dreampop."
“(Summer) opens with airy textures and gentle synths that immediately pull you into a hazy ‘90s-inspired world. The rhythm feels patient, deliberate, like someone slowly walking through old neighborhoods, noticing details they missed before."
